Mystery in the american base of Gaeta

When the USS Mount Whitney, the flagship of the sixth fleet of the US Navy, has sailed from the harbour of Gaeta on January 9 2009 2 members of the crew were missing.

One is the US Navy non commissioned officer Trevor Cristopher Pashenee, 28, from Roseville, California. On January 4th ha was found dead in a car parked in the garage of the house that he had rented in Penitro di Formia (Latina). According to the preliminary results of the autopsy the investigators think it’s a case of suicide. Suicide or accident? Maybe he used his car as a shelter from the cold and he fell asleep.
The other missing member goes under the name of Raymond Bryant, he is one of many civilians working on the military ship. H is from Little Rock, Arkansas, he is 43. On January 8th his body was found in the waters of the harbour belonging to the American base 6 days after he had disappeared. He had spent his last night in a bar in Gaeta. In this case also the results of the post mortem tests do not show any sign of violence. Raymond BryantHe had been drinking and maybe he fell in the water. The local press talked of the case for a couple of days calling it the mystery of Gaeta, but the file was soon archived. Two accidents, the case is closed.

Rainews24 correspondent Angelo Saso has put together the information gathered among colleagues, investigators and other people who might know something.

Saso filed an exclusive interview with Yvonne Loraine Coyne, Trevor Cristopher Pashenee’s mother that is doubtful about the reconstruction of the events in Gaeta. Contradictions and inconsistencies began to come out of the wall of silence that has been built around these accidental deaths and they hint at a different unfolding of the events.

Trevor Cristopher PasheneePashenee was a first class technician, specialized in the maintenance of the cryptography equipment, the one that manages the classified military communication. Pashenee carried out his last mission in the Black Sea, where the sophisticated American technology has supported Georgia in the war against Russia.
